Wangdue Goenpa Busa Trulku Zimchu Re-construction Project

Busa Wangdue Goenpa Busa Trulku Zimchu is the blessed residence where the lineages of Busa Trulku Rinpoche who are the lineage holder of Tshungmed Tashi Tenzin, the Heart Son of Terchen Dorje Lingpa have resided. The first floor of the Zimchu was renovated in 2008. However, with many important and official guest and sponsors of Busa Truku Rinpoche being hosted at Zimchu, in addition to hosting multiple programs during Wangdue Goenpa Tshechu and other program at Goenpa, there was an urgent need to re-build the Zimchu with a modern look while at the same time maintaining the old traditional design and architectures. Thus, as per construction approval received from the Sephu Geog and competent authority, and the budget approved from the foundation sponsors and board, the Zimchu re-construction works started in October 2023 and is planned to be completed by November 2024.

With the re-construction of the Zimchu, Busa Wangdue Goenpa main courtyard (docha) will be expanded as new Zimchu will be moved back to create more space for Docha courtyard where the public gathering and tshechu mask dances are performed.
