Pema Shedrup Dhargye Khandroling Nunnery Dangchu
In 2017 the Zhabje Lhakhang "Monastery of Foot Prints" at Dangchu which is a very sacred legacy of Guru Rinpoche and Dorji Lingpa was handed over by the people of Dangchu to Trulku.

Dorji Lingpa Foundation under the leadership of Busa Trulku Khentrul Sonam Gyeltshen Rinpoche started and inaugurate a Nunnery School at Zhabje Lhakhang, Dangchu Coinciding on the Descending Day of Lord Buddha (Lha Bab Duchen) on November 19, 2019 as a center of learning and teaching to produce highly qualified Nuns (Anims) and Anim Khenmos for the propagation of the Dorji Lingpa Lineage in particular and the Buddha Dharma in General.
The nunnery currently has 23 nuns with three nunnery teachers.
The sacred place of Dangchu Zhabje Lhakhang is located in the pristine high mountain area of central east Bhutan and in a very sacred site visited and blessed by Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambava) in the eighth century and have left a very prominent foot print (Zhabje) of Guru Rinpoche.
The monastery had been left unoccupied for many years but in 2017 the people and community of the area offered the monastery to His Eminence Busa Trulku Khentrul Sonam Gyeltshen Rinpoche and the Dorji Lingpa Foundation. Since 2017 the Foundation has carried out minor repairs and maintenance and constructed a road to the monastery and three numbers of 4 BHK bungalow for nuns and Lopens as this sacred location has been selected to be the site of the Zhabje Lhakhang Nunnery.
The Zhabjye old dilapidated monastery renovation is under progress including rebuilding of statues and paintings inside the monastery. The plan to buid class room, dinning, kitchen, hostels and lopen and Khenpo quarters to house hundred nuns is underway.
