New Lopens appointed at Busa Wangdue Gonpa : Lopen Thinley Dorji and Lopen Jamtsho

ད་རེས་དུས་ཆེན་ཁྱད་པར་ཅན་དང་འབྲེལ་གནམ་ལོ་ལྕགས་གླང་ལོའི་རྒྱུགས་སྤྲོད་ལག་ཁྱེར་སྤྲོད་ཡོདཔ་དང་། བཤད་གྲྭའི་སྡེ་བཙུགས་ཏེ་ མི་ལོ་ ༢༢ ཙམ་གྱི་ཤུལ་ འཛིན་རིམ་དགུ་པ་ཐེངས་དང་པོ་མཐར་འཁྱོལ་ཡོད་པའི་ སློབ་དཔོན་ཕྲིན་ལས་རྡོ་རྗེ་དང་སློབ་དཔོན་ཕུར་པ་རྒྱ་མཚོ་གཉིས་ལུ་རིན་པོ་ཆེས་བཀྲ་ཤིས་པའི་ལེགས་དར་གནང་ཡོདཔ་དང་འདི་ཁར་རྟེན་འབྲེལ་རྒྱས་པར་བརྩི་ཡོད་པའི་ཁར་སློབ་དཔོན་རྣམ་གཉིས་ཀྱིས་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་ལུ་སྐུ་གསུང་ཐུགས་རྟེན་ཕུལ་ཡོད་པའི་མཐོང་སྣང་ དད་ལྡན་དང་བ་དྲན་པའི་མིག་རྒྱན་གྱི་ཆེད་དུ་ཕུལ།

On April 16, 2022, coinciding with the Lami Kuchoe of Tsungmed Tashi Tenzin the heart son of Terchen Dorji Lingpa, His Eminence Busa Trulku Khentrul Sonam Gyeltshen Rinpoche appointed Monk Thinley Dorji and Monk Jamtsho as the Lopen under Busa Wangdue Goenpa Buddhist College. The newly appointed Lopen’s also offered Ku-Sung-Thug Toe Mendral to Rinpoche in order to express their gratitude and also for Rinpoche’s good health and long life.

The Offering of Tashi Khadar was joined by the Khenpo, lopens, monks, Sephu Gup, representation from Dorji Lingpa foundation and Dorling Thorim Shedra Project, and the community members.
Monk Thinley and Monk Jamtsho completed their Zinda Gupa, 9th Class which is equivalent to a Master degree in Buddhist studies from Busa Wangdue Goenpa Buddhist College in 2021. They have worked as Chorpon.
The appointed Lopens are the first batch of monks to graduate with a Master’s Degree from Busa Wangdue Goenpa Buddhist College.
Lopen Thinley Dorji is from Lamga village under Athang Gewog and Lopen Jamtsho is from Thaphu Mani-Gang village under Athang Gewog, Wangdue Phodrang Dzongkhag.
Lopen Thinley Dorji will be serving as a Lopen at Busa Wangdue Goenpa Buddhist College (Thorim Shedra) and Lopen Jamtsho will be serving as Lopen at Terney Gyelpheling Shedra (Rabutse).
Busa Wangdue Goenpa Buddhist College Shedra was setup by the 10th Dorling lineage holder Agay Lam Ngawang Tenzin Rinpoche in 2000, with initial setup support from His Eminence Gangteng Trulku Rinpoche.
On the auspicious, Busa Trulku Khentrul Rinpoch also awarded the certificates to all the Shedra Monks who have completed the 2021 academic session successfully.
