Tshokoling Dorling Lhakhang

Tshokoling Lhakhang at Sherling, Sha Khotakha, Wangdue Phodrang
Tshokoling Lhakhang is about 700 years old and was founded by Trulku Chokdon Gonpo, the reincarnation of Terchen Dorje Lingpa, in Sha Khothakha.
The Lhakhang was offered to 11th Busa Trulku Rinpoche by the descendants of the legendary Salay Sam Wangchuk Gyem,( Aue Thinley, Mr. Dawa, previous Gup Gyeltshen of Ula, and their family, who were born into the family line of the Great Terchen Dorje Lingpa.)

A Brief History of the Legendary Saley Sam Wangchuk Gyem
The Saley Sam Wangchuk Gyem was born within the Great Terchen Dorje Lingpa’s familial line. Sha Tsilo is where she was born. Because of Terchen Dorje Lingpa’s noble lineage, all women born in the family are titled Sam, and sons are titled Lam. This has been going on for a long time.
Saley Sam Wangchuk Gyem was a Khandro (Dakini), a powerful Bodhisattva, and a treasure revealers. She was capable of performing countless miracles, discovering many of Guru Rinpoche’s ters (sacred holy relics), and even generating drupchu (holy water).
Some of her ter, such as Saley Sam’s thro (urn), Saley Sam’s Baking Chayo (plate), and Saley Sam’s Baking Chayo (bowl),and Terchen Dorje Lingpa’s Namcha Omi Reldri were preserved as Nagten at the Gyemphaka Lhakhang. All of these Ters were retrieved by Saley Sam from Ter Nob. The blacksmith oven of Guru Rinpoche’s Karsung Damchen Dorje Lekpa is also thought to be in those location. Damchen Dorje Lekpa is the chief blacksmith who created all of Guru Rinpoche’s artifacts. The main treasures of the Gyemphaka Lhakhang is comprised of several sacred items. The Ter Namcha Omi Reldri of the extremely sacred Guru Rinpoche is the longest Ter of its sort among numerous comparable Ters. A modest one may be found at Punakha Dzong.

Sam Wangchuk Gyem has gifted us with a Drupchu named Saley Sami Sangchu for the benefit of all sentient beings. This is close to Gyemphaka Lhakahang. Children with stammering voices can be treated simply if this Drupchu is given to them and they take a bath there.
The technique she employed to bake Khuley or Captang (chapati) was one of Saley Sam’s miracles. Khulay can be baked without the use of fire. She sits, sets the Chayog (baking plate) on her elevated knees, and quickly bakes hundreds of Khuley with Tum Ashey Mey. Tum Ashey Mey is a fire generated by the body. This is only achievable with a high Bodhisattava. Sangay Yusung, for example, used Tum Asay Mey from his thumb to cremate himself after achieving enlightenment.
Lopen Phub Dorji
Lopen Phub Dorji had been appointed as the new Lam to further develop and spread the Buddha Dharma, and the Dorling lineage.
